ABSTRACT: The benefits and the importance role of innovation are undeniable. Industry 4.0 has significantly improved the labor productivity and emphasized the role of human resources as the subject creating core values and the core of sustainable development. Vietnam faces economic challenges as the country’s GDP growth has slowed down when the national natural resources have been depleted. This paper analyzes the innovation and initiative competency of Vietnamese enterprises in the context of Industry 4.0.
